FAQ: Why Aren’t My Pinterest Images Showing Up on FPTraffic?

Are you using the FPTraffic Chrome Extension tool to schedule images to your Facebook Page?

If not, we highly suggest you check it out as a way to pull valuable, relevant content from image-heavy sources like Pinterest and Instagram. This is a great tool to expand your content resources with FPTraffic.

A common question we get asked by new users with the FPTraffic Chrome Extension tool is, Why aren’t my Pinterest images showing up?

Fret not, we’ve got the answer for you in this post. In most cases of people who aren’t too familiar with FPTraffic yet, we tend to see the same little mistakeit’s common. Don’t worry, it’s an easy fix!

Image URLs vs. Link URLs

With FPTraffic’s Chrome Extension, you can gather and schedule thousands of images from Pinterest and Instagram for the entire month in just a matter of minutes. However, it’s common that new users see this image in their post schedule when they check the URLs they upload:

Link post

If you’re seeing this, it’s most likely that you scheduled the images as Link URLs rather than Image URLs. This will result in your post showing up on Facebook as a link and pulling any picture from that link as a preview. If you have your Facebook Page account connected to Twitter, the content will only show up as a link on there without the image you selected.

Nobody wants that to happen! Here’s the easy fix.

Solution: Be sure to click Image URLs under the content dropdown when you are bulk importing the images you select using the FPTraffic Chrome Extension tool from Pinterest or another website. This will post the image with the image URL on your Page (and to your Twitter account), and all that hard work will not be lost!

image URLs

If you are importing Pinterest images as Image URLs and the images are still not appearing, please contact support directly and we’ll help resolve the issue.

  11. Post consistently. Create a post schedule to consistently get content in front of people and increase engagement.
  12. Ask your fans to share photos on your Page. When they do, your Page will appear in their friends’ feeds and increase your Facebook Page Likes.
  13. Add your Page to a Fan Page directory list.
  14. Use the Facebook Page Plugin on your website or blog. This encourages people to share your content and it boosts your Page Likes.
  15. Use captivating and relevant images. Between 65 and 85% of people describe themselves as visual learners, meaning they digest information easier by viewing rather than reading. The FPTraffic Chrome Extension allows you to easily find and schedule great images for your posts!
  16. Create a Facebook Group in your industry. This is a great way to reach prospects who haven’t liked your Page yet. You’ll provide value and gain trust, driving more Likes to your Page.
  17. Connect with admins of popular Facebook Groups in your niche. They’ll see you as an authoritative source and be more likely to share content from your Page.
  18. Cross-promote your Pages.
  19. View your Facebook Page Insights to see your most popular content. Use those results to give fans more of the content they want, and they’ll be more likely to share that content.

5 Tips for New FPTraffic Members

New to FPTraffic and ready to start building your Facebook Page empire?

Social media is changing the way people do business and make money, and Facebook Pages provide a huge avenue for sales. In fact, over a billion people use Facebook every single day.

Building, growing and monetizing Facebook Pages comes easy with the help of a simple management tool. If you’ve just joined our FPTraffic community, here are five tips to start managing your Pages and growing your fan base.

[ecko_alert color=”gray”]Check out our in-depth case study on how to grow a Page from 0 to 10,000 Likes in a month![/ecko_alert]

1. Remove Pages

When you first connect your Facebook account, FPTraffic displays all of the Facebook Pages you have created in your Pages Dashboard. You can remove any Pages you do not want on your account so that FPTraffic is only managing content for certain pages. From the Pages menu, click Manage. For each page you wish to delete, click the red X.

Remove Page from FPTraffic

Removing a Page does not delete the Page from your Facebook account, but keeps it from showing up on FPTraffic. You can always add Pages back after you have removed them from your account. Also, keep in mind that FPTraffic enables you to manage an unlimited number of Facebook Pages.

2. Set up a Post Schedule

One of the great features of FPTraffic is the ability to create a schedule that allows your content to post to your Facebook Pages automatically. Set up a schedule for each Facebook Page you want FPTraffic to post to. Your content will not show up on FPTraffic until you add a schedule, so complete this step first. Under the Pages menu, click Schedules. Select the Facebook Page you would like to set your schedule for. You’ll then be able to select the times you’d like your content to post to that Page.

FPTraffic Scheduled Times

Find when your fans are online most and set up your schedule to post at those times. FPTraffic will post to your Page at most once an hour every hour of the day. We recommend posting 2-5 times a day, but test your engagement by posting as many different times a day as you’d like.

3. Disregard “Posted by FPTraffic”

When FPTraffic publishes content on your Page, you will see the note Posted by FPTraffic under the post on Facebook. Don’t worry – visitors to your Page do not see this. It is only visible to you and any other Admin on your Page. Facebook places the text there so that you know which pieces of content FPT published.

4. Find content with the FPTraffic Google Chrome Extension

Use our Google Chrome Extension to easily schedule images from Pinterest, Twitter, Imgur and pretty much any other website with a few clicks of your mouse. The FPTraffic Chrome Extension is one of the best tools available for gathering and scheduling photos to post to your Facebook Pages.
